Mechanical Engineer We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer within the Mechanical Aircraft Systems group. This Stilling is perfect for you if you want to contribute to and help deliver a clean sheet amphibious aircraft design. Main Responsibilities Own the design, development and certification of mechanical systems, including: flight control mechanisms, landing gear mechanisms, hardware installation, structural integration etc Provide expert consultation to help resolve technical challenges across the organization. In our very small engineering team, each engineer is expected to take ownership and accountability to promote progress and achieve objectives Source, meet and select the best partners for development and production of the mechanical system's components Your Profile University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Aviation industry experience, preferably as part of an EASA Part 21 Design Organisation (minimum 5 years) Experience with mechanical systems development Accountability to resolve issues and meet agreed milestones with minimal supervision. System troubleshooting in the actual aircraft Working knowledge of FAA & EASA certification requirements (FAR/CS 23), including airworthiness and operational requirements preferred Experience with mechanical design, modelling and analysis in relevant CAD systems, including PLM and configuration tools Fluent in English, written and spoken Safety-oriented attitude Work in a structured and organised manner Able to take initiative, ownership and responsibility Caring, flexible & awesome :-) We Offer An opportunity to take part in a unique electric seaplane project The possibility to bring electric aviation to Norge and the world An experienced, innovative and fun team with passion for aviation Stock option plan Support in obtaining the PPL (A) Flexible hours Work both in office and workshop environments Onboarding program including assistance for foreign residents Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the Stilling is filled The place of work is located at Torp Airport, Sandefjord situated by the southeast coastline, known for mild winters and vibrant summer life.
