Responsibilities
The DataCenter Service / Datacenter Cloud System (DCS) team sits within the TikTok global technology structure and supports the Selskap's fast growth by building and operating hyper‑scale datacenters, managing the life cycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions, and developing various infrastructure services, making sure they are scalable and are reliable.
We are seeking a Data Center Operations Leader for Norge to provide leadership and address these challenges by building a solid 24x7x365 operating framework for TikTok's data centers. Through successfully managing a team of data center professionals, this role will deliver robust site services, increase availability, and decrease MTTR. The Operations leader will also build collaborative partnerships across various internal stakeholder groups at all levels to ensure the requirements and OLAs are met. They will also build critical partnerships with external vendors to ensure we are realizing the full potential of the services we receive.
We’re looking for a dynamic individual who has managed highly‑available environments through a global team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to help develop and execute TikTok’s long‑term data center strategy.
Lead all data center operations for the Norge Region, overseeing 30+ FTEs across engineering, leadership, and 24/7 shift teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Define and execute the long‑term operational vision and roadmap in collaboration with global infrastructure partners, continuously improving operational maturity and scalability.
Build, develop, and retain a high‑performing organization through mentoring, leadership development, and an optimized staffing model aligned to uptime and global business requirements.
Design, implement, and govern robust operational processes and systems, ensuring full compliance with certifications, security standards, audit requirements, and documented SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
Own service delivery outcomes by defining KPIs, exceeding SLAs/OLAs, and leading incident, escalation, and crisis management with clear stakeholder communication.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiations, contribute to budget planning and cost optimization, and partner internally to drive effective end‑to‑end asset lifecycle management.
Lead security operations and risk mitigation efforts, ensuring adherence to internal Global Security policies and external regulatory and audit requirements.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience operating high‑availability, mission‑critical data center environments with strong uptime and service delivery focus.
5+ years of experience managing engineering or technical teams in a fast‑paced, hands‑on operational environment.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure, including HVAC, UPS, PDUs, RPPs, and electrical switchgear.
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and resolving operational issues with internal and external customers.
Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and service providers, including co‑Sted partners.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate effectively across cultures and business levels.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating hyperscale data centers and managing portfolios of data centers across multiple regions.
Recent success leading complex global programs, including data center consolidation and rationalization initiatives.
Experience operating in leased coSted environments and managing co‑Sted provider contracts and performance.
Demonstrated experience managing multi‑year budgets and large‑scale capital or operational investment plans.
MBA or equivalent business leadership experience.
Strong commitment to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and exceptionally high standards.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast‑changing environments while driving change and innovation.
